CHUN LIM, MD, PH.D.

Director, Cognitive Neurology Unit Training Program, BIDMC

I received my MD and PhD from the University of Chicago with my thesis being on the neuroanatomy of the hippocampal formation. I trained as a neurologist at the BIDMC and completed a fellowship in cognitive neurology and neurorehabilitation. My main interests involve cognitive neurology and memory and the neurorehabilitation of memory and visuo-vestibular disorders. My cognitive neurology clinic specializes in memory disorders such as from Alzheimer’s disease or following acquired brain injuries such as stroke or cardiac arrest and I have ongoing research involving the use of mobile technology to assess, detect, follow, and monitor patients with cognitive impairment. From a neurorehabilitation standpoint, I am involved in the clinical neurorehabilitation program (stroke and TBI) at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Cambridge. I have two ongoing rehabilitation research projects that involve the use of computerized augmented reality glasses to treat visuo-vestibular disorders such as hemispatial neglect, and the use of multi-electrode transcranial electrical stimulation for memory remediation.
